The 992-generation Porsche 911 is arguably the most usable supercar ever built. But "usable" in Stuttgart is not always usable in Nairobi.
## Ground clearance
Standard ride height clears most speed bumps if you approach at 15° angle. Front-axle lift is a £2,500 factory option that pays for itself the first time you enter Village Market.
## Parts and service
RSA Motors handles authorised service, and the parts catalogue is deeper than most owners expect. Common wear items (brakes, filters, plugs) are stocked. Bodywork after a rear-end shunt is where lead times get painful — plan on 8–12 weeks.
## Insurance
Expect 4–5% of value annually for comprehensive with tracking. Some underwriters cap payouts on modified cars, so keep it factory.
## Where to actually drive it
The Nairobi-Naivasha expressway on a Sunday morning. The Elementaita loop. Anywhere south of Athi River after dawn. The car deserves the roads that suit it.
## Would we recommend it?
As a second car, absolutely. As your only car, no — the practicality gap versus a Panamera is real.
